Weekly Update

The Weeks’s Weekly Update is a communication piece between the classroom and home to let parents know how often their student has to be reminded to follow the classroom rules.  This sheet is factored directly into the student’s interdisciplinary skills and attributes grades at the end of each grading period.  If a student is not following classroom rules (communicating respectfully, working independently, completing work, cooperating with others or following directions) they will be given a warning.  If the behavior continues, the student will be given another warning and asked to make a mark (in pen) on their Weekly Update in the appropriate box for the transgression.  Each week the students will be given a grade in each of the corresponding Life Skills Areas according to the following rubric.

3	0-1
2	2-4
1	5 or more

Every Friday (or last day of the school week) your student should bring this form home to be reviewed and signed by you.  Please take this moment to start a conversation with your student about their participation, attention and actions in the classroom.  Make sure to address and acknowledge the good behavior as well as the behavior that needs improvement.
